SS150 Standing Seam Tray – Long Run Roofing

Freeman Roofing Standing Seam SS150 is a concealed-fix tray roofing and wall cladding system designed for architectural projects where clean lines and performance matter. It is manufactured custom cut to length (subject to transport and site limitations), with tray widths selectable to suit project requirements.

Key features

  • Concealed clip fixing for a clean, uninterrupted finish
  • 38 mm rib height for robustness and water-carrying capacity
  • Variable tray widths, typically 300–510 mm, to suit design and performance requirements
  • Suitable for roofing and wall cladding when correctly designed and detailed

Minimum roof pitch

Minimum roof pitch , when the system is designed and detailed in accordance with Freeman Roofing SS150 design details and relevant New Zealand compliance pathways.

Where it’s used

  • Architectural residential roofing
  • Low-pitch roofing applications (project-specific design required)
  • Wall cladding applications with a drainage cavity

Important design notes

  • Thermal movement: detailing must allow for expansion and contraction; detailing should remain consistent across the roof system (do not mix detail “options”).
  • Oil canning: tray roofing can show waviness depending on lighting, substrate stiffness, pan width, and viewing angle; this is a normal characteristic and not considered a defect.
  • Low pitch (<10°): purlin spacing and underlay support may require adjustment.
  • Wind zones and substrate: substrate requirements may vary depending on wind zone, exposure, tray width, and material selection, and should be confirmed as part of the project-specific design.
