Factory Team Member – Wellington

FREEMAN ROOFING WELLINGTON IS LOOKING FOR A NEW FACTORY TEAM MEMBER TO JOIN THE TEAM.

Freeman Roofing has a proud history of manufacturing and supplying top of the line roofing materials across New Zealand and is looking for a new factory team member to join our Porirua based in Wellington.  You will join a friendly and supportive team with strong family values in our new purpose-built factory in Porirua.

The Role

The role will see you use a mixture of steel roll forming machines including ridging and long run roll formers as well as forklifts and gantry cranes. You will also use a state-of-the art folder and slitter to assist in the manufacture of flashings.

The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for machinery or have experience in the roofing, manufacturing or construction industries however full training will be given to the successful candidate. Forklift and gantry crane qualifications and experience will also be an advantage.

Your core duties will include (but not limited to):

* Operating our folders to make flashings and other made-to-order products

* Operating our roll formers including ridging and long run roll formers

* Ensuring manufactured goods meet a high standard

* Using a forklift and gantry cranes to load and unload products and materials

You will work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with over time available periodically when needed. To help with work/life balance, we usually close for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.
